The owner and CEO, Surjit S Gill, has been in Canada for over 30 years and his passion in broadcast pushed him to launch Channel Punjabi Television in 2006. In 2011, Channel Punjabi television was launched on Rogers Cable and Bell FibeTV and in 2012, Channel Punjabi launched on Shaw cable. Channel Punjabi will also be the first Punjabi channel in North America to be launched in HD.
