Krishna is brought in front of the village Panchayat for tearing Sumitra’s dress to expose the burn mark on her hand. A villager throws a slipper at Krishna. Sumitra faints on seeing it. The panditji takes her to his house. Shakti apologises to Samar after he regains consciousness at the hospital. He expresses guilt over his misdeeds against the family. Krishna refuses to trust him. Sajjan is shocked to learn that Sumitra is alive. Pratigya informs him that Sumitra has lost her memory.
