Nimai gets a job. His family celebrates the good news. Nani informs his mother Vani that he is in love with a girl named Sayali. Vani asks Nimai to invite Sayali home. Sayali tells Nimai that a prospective groom is coming home to see her. Nimai persuades her to reveal their love affair to her family. Sayali’s father Tyagi discusses politics with his party members. Her brother Samar complains to him about a deal that went wrong. Sayali becomes nervous and does not tell Tyagi about Nimai.
