Diya Aur Baati Hum is the story of Sandhya’s struggles, who dreams of becoming an IPS officer. She dreams to break the boundaries of her confined existence of middle class values. The story is also about Sooraj, who is a self made man. Sooraj runs a famous sweet shop near his house. Episode 403 – In this episode, Sandhya claims to have seen a vision from goddess Parvati Sandhya plans to expose Swamiji’s scam. During the Maha Shivratri puja, Sooraj disguises as Yogi Maharaj and Sandhya disguises as his disciple to fool Swamiji’s followers. After the maha puja, Swamiji claims that the stolen ornaments will be found in the Rathi house. Sandhya claims that she too had a vision from goddess Parvati and that the thief is a part of Swamiji’s group. The outraged followers ask her to prove her claim. She agrees to perform a miracle with a coconut to catch the thief.
