Narsimha Murthy lived with his wife Lakshmi and two daughters Anjali and Anita. In a middle-class upbringing, Narsimha’s daughter Anjali was going astray. Anjali’s parents first discovered her going astray while she was in the 9th standard, and when her marks suddenly started dropping, and packets of cigarettes and gutkhas were found from her bag. Same stuff was found from Anjali’s room also. In a bid to take her away from bad company, Narsimha changed her college and got her admitted in the college where he worked. However, Anjali did not show any signs of improvement and started bunking classes. A distraught Narsimha began keeping an eye on his daughter. One day Narsimha decided to follow her and found her taking drugs by the beach side. Anjali’s friend Renu, and their male friends were also a part of this activity. Narsimha reprimanded his daughter and barred her from stepping out of the house. The punishment of being confined at home seemed to work as Anjali apologized to her mother and promised that she would mend her ways. One day, out of sympathy, when her mother took her out for shopping, Anjali gave her mother a slip and escaped from the market. Where did she go?
